The first game of Colorado State’s 2017 football season is now one day closer. The Pac-12 announced its schedule Wednesday, which included the move of the annual Rocky Mountain Showdown between Colorado State and Pac-12 member Colorado, in Denver, to Friday, Sept. 1, 2017. Kickoff time and TV network have not been determined. It marks the second year in a row the annual in-state rivalry game will be played on the Friday of Labor Day weekend.

The 2017 Rocky Mountain Showdown will be the 17th edition of the rivalry to be played in Denver since it shifted to the Mile High City as its primary home in 1998. The Rams and Buffaloes have played 88 times in the series.

Attendance for the Rocky Mountain Showdown has increased in each of the past five seasons. Last year’s attendance of 69,850 was the highest total in the series since 2003 (76,219), and the 34,167 tickets purchased by Colorado State fans marked an increase for the fourth year in a row.

Season tickets for Colorado State Football will again include the Rocky Mountain Showdown and all six games at the new on-campus stadium, in its inaugural season. Prices for the seven-game season-ticket package begin at $225 and payment plans are available.

New season ticket commitments are currently being accepted exclusively from Colorado State alumni, faculty and staff. On January 30, new requests from all fans will begin to be accepted. To reserve season tickets, or for any questions, please contact the Rams Sales Team at 800-491-RAMS (7267).

Current season-ticketholders will have first priority to select their seats in the new stadium, and will soon receive their scheduled date and time to choose their seats through appointments that will begin in March. For more information on the reseating process and Ram Points please visit the special reseating section on the new stadium website.
