It’s a sad day for the University of Colorado.
Texas Tech quarterback Davis Webb, who announced he’d be transferring this offseason, chose Cal over the University of Colorado.

Webb was recruited to Boulder by co-offensive coordinator Darrin Chiaverini, who was with Webb at Texas Tech the last two seasons as a special teams coach. And while losing Webb was a loss for the University, Chiaverini couldn’t fault the young quarterback’s decision.

Webb has all the tools to be a special quarterback. Just ask his former coach.
“He has a chance to be very special,” Texas Tech head coach Cliff Kingsbury said after Webb finished up his freshman season in 2013, via Fox Sports. “He has one of the quickest releases and strongest arms I’ve been around. Very smart, intellectual thinker. Processes things very quickly. Sees the field. Great at checking to the right place.:
The Buffs will now have to hope Sefo Liufau recovers quickly from an injury-plagued junior season.
