Colorado State landed one of the state’s top recruits in Mullen’s Christian Cumber, who had received offers from 10 Division I programs, according to Rivals. Cumber, a cornerback who is viewed as the No. 4 overall recruit to come out of Colorado, was also recruited by CSU’s in-state rival Colorado. In total, four Power 5 conference teams sought Cumber’s services, but it was Mike Bobo and the Rams who won out.
According to 247sports, Cumber posted 54 tackles, 14 pass break ups, three interceptions and one interception for a touchdown in his 2015 season. Cumber’s skill and athleticism will prove to be a valuable asset for defensive coordinator Marty English.
