Vicente Sanchez almost single-handedly kept the Colorado Rapids in their match with Houston on Saturday, twice scoring equalizing goals and nearly doing so a third time.
His efforts weren’t rewarded in the win-loss column, as Colorado ultimately fell 3-2 to the Dynamo, but Sanchez has been recognized by MLS, earning MLS Team of the Week honors for his performance.

This is his second appearance on Team of the Week this season. Sanchez also netted the honor just a few weeks back after helping lead Colorado to a pair of victories.
Sanchez’s two goals against Houston brought him into a tie with Gabriel Torres and Kevin Doyle for the team lead. In 27 games, Sanchez has four goals and five assists. He is just one assist behind Dillon Powers for the team lead in that category, as well.
Colorado enters a two-game home stretch on Sunday, beginning with the finale in the Rocky Mountain Cup, and closes the year with two matches on the road.
