It all starts tonight. The College Football Playoff officially kicks off on Friday with the Alabama Crimson Tide looking for revenge over the Oklahoma Sooners in the first round of the 2nd ever 12-team playoff. New users looking to place some picks on tonight’s game can score our latest Underdog Promo Code MHS to unlock $75 in bonus entries for all the action. Just click below and register an account using code MHS today.

As mentioned, tonight’s game is sure to be top-tier. The Sooners and Crimson Tide played a close battle earlier this season that punched Oklahoma’s ticket to the Playoff thanks to a monster defensive effort. The challenge will be similar for Alabama this time around, too: How will Kalen DeBoer and Co. game plan for the Sooners elite defensive unit?

On this page we’ll take a closer look at this Underdog Promo Code MHS while also providing some of our favorite picks for tonight’s game.

Top Picks for Alabama-Oklahoma

Here’s a look at some of our favorite picks for tonight’s matchup

John Mateer, Oklahoma Sooners QB: Lower 1.5 passing TDs

As mentioned above, it’s tough to beat a team twice. Not to mention, Mateer didn’t exactly show out last time against a good Alabama defense, throwing for just 138 yards and no touchdowns. Instead, Oklahoma’s defense made some huge plays to help secure the Sooners their biggest win of the season. For another, the Oklahoma offense has just really, really struggled across the past few weeks. Mateer has not been the same since injuring his hand, and it’s not hard to see him having a rough outing this time around with all the pressure on the former Washington State QB.

Germie Bernard, Alabama WR:  higher than 2.5 rushing yards

Bernard is a receiver, but he does have 17 rush attempts this season. With how much Alabama has struggled to run the ball this year — particularly in recent weeks — I think Kalen DeBoer and Ryan Grubb will think outside the box as they design a running game for this matchup against Oklahoma. That could mean giving Bernard some chances to make plays out of the backfield. He has cleared this projection in 6 of 12 games this season. Bernard didn’t have a rush attempt when these teams met in Tuscaloosa earlier this year, but I don’t think that precludes Bernard from getting a carry or 2 in this game.

Jam Miller, Alabama Cirmson Tide RB: Lower 38.5 rushing yards

As we’ve already mentioned a few times on this page, Oklahoma’s defense is absolutely lethal. On the other side of things, the Crimson Tide have seen some struggled running the football this season – especially against teams with Front 7s as adept as Oklahoma. Nothing against Jam Miller, but I’m just not so sure this is going to be his best outing.
