Brock Osweiler may have just saved himself millions of dollars.
Late last night, after watching his friend Kelly James perform at a nearby hotel, Osweiler, his wife and friends went for a bite to eat at Joe’s Pizza in Scottsdale, Arizona, according to TMZ Sports. While there, a group began to heckle the free agent quarterback, and as Osweiler and company made to leave, Brock pushed a woman away who was attempting to confront his wife.
That was not well received by one man, who went on to shove Osweiler as hard as he could in the back.
Instead of fighting back, though, Osweiler grabbed his friends and family and got everyone back in the car.
In a matter of days, Osweiler will begin his free agency tour, and he’s all but guaranteed to sign a big-time contract, whether that be from the Broncos or someone else. Had Osweiler decided to shove the man back, or worse, those hard-earned dollars could have gone flying out the window.
We’ll see what comes of this, but Osweiler was lucky to escape without handcuffs on his wrists. Obviously, shoving a women, in any capacity, is a huge no-no. Still, it could have been a lot worse. We’ve seen many professional athletes handle themselves much more poorly than big No. 17 did last night.
