The past few seasons have been a trying time for the Colorado Buffaloes.
“The conflict has made you,” head coach Mike MacIntyre tells his team in the latest installment of “The Rise,” a 13-episode Pac-12 Network series about this season.
“Not the easy things, the conflict. It makes you. It can make you or break you,” MacIntyre says.
The Buffs have taken that to heart. They have faced the conflict of overcoming their past seasons’ records, the conflict of change, the conflict of proving themselves.
With two blowout wins under their belt, the Buffs took on their biggest challenge of the season, the University of Michigan, in their third game of the season. And despite all odds, Colorado held their own for the majority of the game. No one was expecting a challenge from CU, but just like what Coach Mac wanted, the Buffs saw a conflict and embraced it.
The full second episode of “The Rise” will air Thursday, Sept. 22 at 5:30 p.m. MDT on Pac-12 Mountain. The Buffs face another difficult challenge Saturday, Sept. 24 against Oregon in Eugene. If the Michigan game was any indication, facing the Ducks won’t break these Buffaloes.
