While the marquee matchup in Sunday’s Broncos-Falcons game is without a doubt Julio Jones and Matt Ryan agains the No Fly Zone, Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak is well aware that it will take much more than stopping that duo in order for his team to come out with a win.
Yes, Jones and Ryan account for a whopping 488 yards and three touchdowns through four weeks, but there’s another 1,427 yards of total offense and 13 other touchdowns to account for when game-planning against the Falcons. In his final session with the media, Kubiak made it clear that while Jones is certainly dangerous (we might call him the most dangerous receiver in the league at the moment), Denver must account for a host of other playmakers for Atlanta.
Bryant McFadden of 120 Sports thinks Denver’s biggest task after stopping Jones will be limiting the damage from the two-headed rushing attack of Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman who account for 451 rushing yards and five touchdowns on the ground and another 263 yards through the air.
