The Denver Nuggets played a basketball game yesterday, but it wasn’t the biggest story (or non-story) of the day.

With the rest of the Western Conference gearing up to make postseason runs by making trades and adjusting salary to make buyout additions, it was jarring to see the Nuggets stand pat. It wasn’t for lack of effort, as explained in the show, but it was certainly for lack of resources and flexibility. The Nuggets didn’t have anything other teams truly wanted and that was the culmination of several moves on the margins that have put the Nuggets in a difficult position moving forward.

On the latest episode of Pickaxe and Roll, Ryan Blackburn reacts to the Denver Nuggets 112-90 win over the Orlando Magic on Thursday night. Denver rolled, and both Michael Porter Jr. and Nikola Jokic continued to dominate, this time against a very good defense.

Ryan goes over the win before discussing the events of yesterday’s NBA trade deadline. The Nuggets made no trades while other teams did. Calvin Booth addressed the media as well, and Ryan went over some highlights as well as Booth’s thinking behind the scenes.
