The Denver Broncos offense has been trying to find a way to click on all cylinders and Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers was their best example yet. Bo Nix and Courtland Sutton finally emerged as the dynamic duo between quarterback and pass catcher and it’s something they can hopefully build off of.

Bo Nix turned in his best game as a pro on Sunday, looking consistent all around from an operations standpoint, as well as his mechanics and his delivery of the football. Courtland Sutton was on the receiving end of it as well, hauling in eight catches for 100 yards on 11 targets.
“It was huge, I thought he came to play today,” Nix said. “He had several great opportunities, made the most of them and he was a good target for us today. It started early in the game and then he was just kind of feeling it. I thought that was a good part of our game plan. We really wanted to get him involved, and I thought it was really good. I feel bad for the people that sat him for fantasy this week.”
While Nix has found himself getting more and more comfortable, the offense has begun to open up a bit more. Denver is still searching for consistency in the ground game, but Sunday’s win against the Panthers allowed the offense to air it out a bit, and Nix capitalized.
He finished the game 28-of-37 passing for 284 yards, three passing touchdowns, and one rushing touchdown. There were several plays that were either fumbled or dropped by receivers that also could have elevated his stat line entirely, but this was Nix’s most complete game yet.
“I think we have it in our arsenal,” Nix said of the passing game. “We just have to go out there and execute it like we did. I thought we did a really good job of starting fast and doing it early. We caught a good rhythm there. Everybody on the field was making plays. Receivers, tight ends, running backs, it did not matter. The ball was being dispersed to a lot of positions, and I thought that was good. It is tough on a defense when we are getting all those guys the ball.”
Head coach Sean Payton was pleased with his team’s performance in a lot of areas but was frustrated about some of the missed opportunities the team had. Nix noted the standard Payton has for this year’s Broncos team.
“I think one thing that sticks out is you have a coach that really believes in his players and believes in his team,” Nix said. “High standards for a coach, to me, is the ultimate sign of respect for a player. If you have high standards for a player, then you see some potential or you see something in them that either they see or are trying to see. I feel like we have high standards for ourselves, too. That is why we continue to go back and work, continue to show up, practice the way we do, work hard, prepare and all those things. I feel like it is great respect from him. He sees something in our team and now we have to go out, execute and have high standards like him.”
