We all knew it was coming, but it’s still shocking.
BREAKING: Broncos coach Gary Kubiak says Peyton Manning won't play Sunday; Osweiler to start vs Bears
— AP NFL (@AP_NFL) November 16, 2015
Kubiak: “I’ve gotta do what’s best for the player; for the team. … I’ve been through it as a player. …It’s a different week for [Osweiler]."

Kubiak said "the grind of the season" has worn Manning down.

Whether you want to blame it on the grind, the plantar fasciitis or the decision making, the decision should come as no surprise; Manning isn’t fit to play right now.
The question now becomes whether he’ll ever play again, and, yes, that is a very realistic question. According to reports, the plantar fascia tear Manning is reported to have suffered during the Chiefs game could keep him out for up to six weeks, placing his return at right around the start of the playoffs.
And while there is a group of Broncos fans rejoicing right now for the start of the Brock Osweiler era, their energy is being directed in the wrong direction. With everything Peyton Manning has done for the Denver Broncos, this is a very sad day for the team, the franchise and their fans.
It would be in everybody’s best interest for The Sheriff to heal up, get back out on that field and go out on top.
