Christian McCaffrey may have offset some of the naysayers who doubted him after his bench press performance Thursday, running a 4.48 official 40-yard dash on Friday at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.

Along with the impressive 40 time, he also posted a 37.5-inch vertical jump and a 10.1-inch broad jump. McCaffrey posted a higher vertical, 40 time and broad jump than Leonard Fournette and Dalvin Cook, who are both higher-ranked running backs by numerous websites and reporters.
Some were disappointed in McCaffrey’s 10 reps of 225 pounds in the bench press Thursday, but this shouldn’t affect his draft stock, seeing as teams are looking at him as an explosive playmaker and scat back instead of a traditional power back.
McCaffrey isn’t the only all-around playmaker making waves at the combine, as former Tennessee running back Alvin Kamara ran a 4.53 40-yard dash, while posting a 39.5-inch vertical and 10.11-inch broad jump.
