In sports, we love the underdogs, the Cinderella stories.
And right now, there’s no better of a Cinderella story than the Colorado Buffaloes, though Washington State is a close second.
The idea that the Buffaloes and Cougars would be facing off as two top-25 teams this late in the season would have sounded absolutely asinine six months ago. And yet, here we are, with arguably the nation’s two worst programs of the last decade squaring off with postseason implications on the line.

That’s right, the Colorado Buffaloes have been, by a wide margin, the worst team in college football over the last decade, followed up by Washington Sate. Now, they have a combined record of 16-2 and stand atop their respective Pac-12 divisions.
For either team, their seasons are already massive successes just to have reached this point, but they’re not done yet. They don’t want to just get dolled up like Cinderella; they want to go to the ball.
