The Denver Broncos are working to get as many deals done with their 2026 NFL Draft rookie class, and several of them have been completed before the team begins rookie minicamp on Friday.

Denver Broncos agree to terms on deals with several rookie draft picks

Broncos football is back, in a minicamp capacity. After players reported earlier this week for the team’s offseason program, involving lifting, conditioning, and meetings, we’ll get our first glance at rookie draft picks and undrafted players as they report for rookie minicamp on Friday.

Ahead of Friday’s start of rookie minicamp, the Broncos have been working to get deals done with their rookie class. So far, they’ve signed seventh-round linebacker Red Murdock (first reported by Benjamin Allbright), tight end Dallen Bentley, safety Miles Scott, and tight end Justin Joly, which were first reported by Mike Klis of 9News.

Joly’s deal is a four-year, $4.89M deal that includes a $506,014 signing bonus, as Klis first reported. Murdock and Bentley’s deals are four-year deals that are worth $4.5M, and their signing bonuses were around $120,488.

That leaves them needing to get deals done with rookie offensive lineman Kage Casey, running back Jonah Coleman, and third-round rookie defensive lineman Tyler Onyedim.

For rookie minicamp, players who aren’t typically signed to their rookie contracts yet participate under an RPA, which is a rookie participation agreement. This protects the player in the event of an injury even if he has not signed his rookie contract just yet, and insures them the exact financial compensation they would have if their standard rookie contract were fully signed.

Regardless, there is no contact or tackling allowed during minicamp or pads.

As more rookie deals get signed, we’ll update this story here on Mile High Sports.
