Denver Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds will have a pivotal role on offense this upcoming season, and his relationship with Bo Nix will be a crucial connection if the offense aims to take off. What is it about Nix that excites Reynolds going into the season?

Denver Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds praises Bo Nix’s arm talent

Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix has done a tremendous job this offseason earning the respect and appreciation of his teammates.

The latest teammate to throw praise his way is veteran receiver Josh Reynolds, who came over this offseason after playing with the Detroit Lions in 2023.

Reynolds has played with a lot of quarterbacks but said Nix has the more beautiful touch on his passes.

“I actually didn’t play with [Rams QB] Matt Stafford, but Bo Nix compared to everyone I’ve played with, he has a beautiful ball,” Reynolds said. “He can place it wherever he wants to. He can put it on a line; he can have some touch with it. He has an amazing arm. I’m excited to see how he progresses and continues to take charge of this offense.”

That has been evident in practice. Nix and Reynolds have developed a connection dating back to organized team activities. One of the first passes we saw the two connect on was a laser of a throw high and to the outside during OTAs — even with a defender having tight coverage. Nix’s throw was to a place where only Reynolds could get it, and the defender couldn’t impact it or get a hand on it.

“He’s definitely a lot further along than I’ve seen a rookie quarterback in the past,” Reynolds said. “He carries himself the same way off the field as well. I think he has a great mindset coming into this thing. He doesn’t have real big highs; he doesn’t have real big lows. He’s kind of even-keeled. That’s all you can look for in a quarterback.”

Now the two will have a chance to further that connection on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks when the team opens up their season in a loud environment, where he and Courtland Sutton will be Nix’s top two receiving options.

“Seattle, it’s definitely a tough environment, but I think Bo [has] played in big games,” Reynolds said. “He’s played in crowds that have been kind of compared to this Seattle fanbase and stuff. I think he’ll adjust perfectly. As far as what me and ‘Sut’ (WR Courtland Sutton) can do, it’s just [to] be where we’re supposed to be when we’re supposed to be there and just help him be in a calm mindset. He does a good job doing that already, so I think Bo’s going to be good for us.”
