It’s been a long time coming, but the University of Colorado’s new practice facility is finally coming to fruition.
Here’s what you need to know: It’s been worth the wait.

Wow … Now that’s a practice field.
Over the last three years, the University of Colorado has been working day in and day out to complete their $156 million expansion project, and it’s been just that: A project.
Originally given a completion date of August 2015, the University is still finishing up the final details, with a newly projected completion date of February 2016.
Along with the new practice facility, the expansion included renovations to the Dal Ward Athletic Center and the creation of the CU Champions Center.
Not only will this be a huge addition to the current Buffaloes roster, but it’ll be even more important in the years to come. Since the Dal Ward Athletic Center was originally constructed back in 1990, the CU Buffaloes have continued to fall behind the rest of the pack as the rest of the nation has introduced more advanced (and sexy) athletic facilities; that difference was only exaggerated after the Buffs moved to the Pac 12.
Now, coach Mike MacIntyre can actually go into a four- or five-star recruits house and show them how that the University of Colorado is committed to giving their student athletes the absolute best.
Locker rooms and training facilities may only be a part of the recruiting process, but there’s no denying that 17- and 18-year-old kids have an affinity for shiny objects.
