Congratulations to Joseph Graff, a senior swimmer at Rangeview High School, for receiving 675 votes out of a total 1,285 and being named the ASPIRE Athlete of the Week for Week 24!
Because Rangeview does not have its own swim team, Graff made the decision to swim for Hinkley so that he could compete in swimming his four years of high school. He encouraged others from Rangeview to do the same and has helped build up the Hinkley team. Now as a senior and a co-captain, Graff is seen as a leader in the pool with state tournament experience his freshman and sophomore years and eyeing another trip to the state tournament this season.
“Joey is kind, caring and dedicated, always putting others before himself and striving to be better,” stated Hinkley High School swim coach Beth Himes. “He wants to make the sport of swimming better every day and give back what he has gotten from this sport.”
A well-balanced student-athlete, Graff carries a 4.0 GPA and is the president of the FCA at Rangeview. He works at Safe Splash teaching swim lessons on the weekends when he is not competing and interns with the Aurora Fire Department. He is currently taking classes at the Community College of Aurora and is committed to the Colorado School of Mines next year.
Congratulations again to Joseph for being named the ASPIRE Athlete of the Week for Week 24! ASPIRE Sports Drinks are now available at all Target, Safeway and Whole Foods locations.
