The 3.83 ERA is good for the best in the National League West and better than the defending World Series Champion Kansas City Royals.
I never thought I would be saying that.
Although the team’s record at this point in time is close to what is was last year, there is something different about this team.
If the pitching can hold its own on the road, it would be a tremendous improvement compared to last year’s staff that ranked 21st on the road.
