The Colorado Buffaloes are facing No. 6 Utah in their biggest game of the year this weekend.
And while the Buffs will certainly have their hands full with one of the best teams in the country, Colorado – the university and the state itself – has already won with a very unique partnership that has been playing out on the field all season.
Burnham Law, a local law firm which has gone from a basement start-up to now having locations serving all over Colorado, has partnered with the University of Colorado Athletics for a STOP Domestic Abuse Campaign.
All season long for every defensive three-and-out or fourth-down defensive stop the Buffaloes record, Burnham Law will make a $100 donation to the Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence and the University of Colorado Office of Victims Assistance.
Donations will help support survivors, raise awareness around domestic violence and reduce violence in our communities.
“This partnership seemed like a natural fit and a great way for Burnham Law to support our community around an issue that is really important to all of us,” said Todd Burnham, Burnham Law founding partner.
Burnham presented a check for $5,000 to SPAN and the CU office of Victim Assistance on the field during the third quarter of last week’s game. And that total will continue to rise as the Buffaloes play out the rest of its season.
Known for being one of the most accomplished firms in Colorado, Burnham Law recently had seven of its attorneys selected by Super Lawyers, including Todd Burnham for his fifth straight year.
