The Denver Broncos dominated the Dallas Cowboys in Sunday’s game to advance to 6-2 on a day the offense put up over 400 yards of offense. J.K. Dobbins ran for over 100 yards as the team gashed the Dallas defense for over 180 yards on the ground collectively.

Bo Nix was effective in commanding the offense, finishing the day 19-of-29 passing for 247 yards with four passing touchdowns and a passer rating of 117.4.

Meanwhile, Denver’s defense intercepted Dak Prescott twice and held him to no touchdown passes with Jahdae Barron and Dondrea Tillman coming up with key takeaways before half and in the fourth quarter.

Denver’s D held the Cowboys offense to 4-of-11 on third down and 24 points, below their 31 point per game average coming into Sunday’s game.

Broncos rookies have their showcase game

Jahdae Barron, RJ Harvey, and Pat Bryant. The Denver Broncos first three picks of their 2025 NFL Draft class shined in Sunday’s game against the Cowboys.

Barron, Denver’s first-round pick, came up with an interception toward the end of the first half against Dak Prescott, who entered Sunday’s game with a league-efficient 16 touchdowns compared to just three interceptions. Jahdae forced Prescott’s fourth of the year.

Harvey was electric in the first half, with three carries for 43 yards and a touchdown. He capped off his day with a hat trick, catching Nix’s fourth touchdown pass of the day.

Bryant, who entered Sunday’s game with only five catches on the season, hauled in two catches for 40 yards and the first touchdown of his career on an absolute dime from Bo Nix toward the end of the first half.

Sunday’s game was the perfect showcase for Denver’s top rookie picks who have all shined in quiet, under-the-radar roles this season.

Before garbage time began, Harvey had six overall touches and three touchdowns before Jarrett Stidham took over, and he got several carries toward the end of the game.

Barron contributed two tackles and his key interception in the first half.

Broncos overcome the loss of PS2 in the second half

All week long, the matchup between Broncos cornerback duo Patrick Surtain II and Riley Moss against CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens was widely discussed. Moss, who many on social media professed would get cooked, proved all of the naysayers wrong when lined up in coverage against those names. Despite being called for an awful PI call in the third quarter in the goal line, he continued to step up and play big, but did give up a late garbage-time touchdown.

He covered Lamb and Pickens and held his own, including four pass breakups.

Moss, of course, saw plenty of action, but the big story from Sunday’s game was Surtain being ruled out with an injury in the second half. Earlier in the game, Surtain suffered a scare with his lower right leg, but came back out of the blue medical tent and played the remainder of the first half.

However, he did not come out for the second half as the team announced he would be out for the remainder of the game with a shoulder injury.

Second-year cornerback Kris Abrams-Draine filled in for Surtain in the second half and finished with eight combined tackles.
